Introduction

Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging hemorrhagic fever with a high mortality rate in humans. The disease is caused by a novel bunyavirus, the Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome Virus (SFTSV), transmitted by ticks and endemic to East Asia.

The Bioperfectus SFTS Virus Real-Time PCR Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test, based on real-time PCR technology, intended for the detection of SFTSV RNA. Samples can be obtained from human plasma, serum, and whole blood.
