Neisseria gonorrhoeae (N. gonorrhoeae) is an oval or coffee-bean-shaped Gram-negative bacterium, measuring about 0.6–0.8 μm in length and 0.5 μm in width. It is the primary pathogen responsible for gonorrhea.
